With my words as ammunition:
writing English is my war.

Every sentence – an omission
with my dubious cognition,
and I curse my intuition
(which I really should ignore).

Every day is an audition –
but despite the repetition,
my unwanted disposition
is a loyal guarantor.

Notwithstanding much tuition
and a wonderful clinician,
as I’m lacking a magician,
I am washed up on the shore.

Words and letters just confuse me,
teacher’s words all but abuse me,
so if you could please excuse me,
I’m not fighting any more.
